Rutgers Women’s Lacrosse Rises in National Rankings
Rutgers women’s Lacrosse has risen to 14th in the Nation according to the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse College Association (IWLCA), an announcement was made on Monday.
The women are off to a flying start to the 2022 season, with a record of 3-0, and just defeated Georgetown 17-16 on Sunday night. Rutgers trailed the Hoyas by a count of 14-9 late in the third quarter before putting together a spirited comeback, scoring eight of the next ten goals to take a 17-15 lead with four minutes remaining in the game.

Taralyn Naslonski leads the Scarlet Knights with 12 goals this season, while Stephanie Kelly leads the squad in points (16) with seven goals and nine assists. Cassidy Spilis, who had the final two deciding goals on Sunday, has nine goals this season.
Women’s Lacrosse isn’t alone in the success department, as the Rutgers men’s Lacrosse team is also undefeated in the early season at 4-0.
