The Knicks are coming to a close on their five game west coast road trip and they have not been so great away from New York. The team lost their first three road games but survived a close one to the Warriors.

Julius Randle came to play scoring 28 points and matching his season high in rebounds with 16. The Knicks won 116-114 after Klay Thompson’s shot to send the game into overtime hit back rim.

Stephen Curry had himself a great game scoring 19 of his 35 in the first half and had 10 assists to go along. Curry had the chance to tie the game but missed a layup. This resulted in Randle scoring on the other end off of a goaltend.

Not only did Randle play well but other Knicks stepped up as well. Evan Fournier had 22 points and hit a big three late in the fourth quarter. Alec Burks ended the game with 15 points. He was able to extend the lead to 13 before the Warriors tried to rally.

The Knicks big man Mitchell Robinson came back from injury and had seven points and pulled in 11 boards.

With this win the Knicks were able to snap a six game losing streak away from home.

“I thought we played really well today. Each day we’ve just got to put everything we have into it. We can’t look too far ahead.” Said Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau.

The Knicks are now 25-31, they are still last in the Atlantic division standings and 12th in the eastern conference. If the Knicks want any chance of making the playoff or even the play in tournament they will have to start putting together some wins.

Their next game they will travel to Portland to face the Trail Blazers. This will be the last game on their road trip.
