Eli Manning Stands Behind Giants Amid Brian Flores Lawsuit
A day after former Miami Dolphins Head Coach Brian Flores sued the National Football League, the New York Giants, Miami Dolphins, and Denver Broncos for racial discrimination in their hiring process, two-time Super Bowl championship quarterback Eli Manning came to Big Blue’s defense.
Manning was interviewed by the New York Post and said he doesn’t believe there was any wrong doing by the Giants when they chose Brian Dabol over Flores as head coach.
““I was not involved in any of that process in any way, so I don’t know the details,” Manning told The Post regarding the team’s recent head-coach search. “I know the Giants organization. I know they do everything possible to give everybody a fair chance. They don’t care, minority or not, they are looking for the best possible candidate. They are going to do everything properly to look for that perfect candidate. So, I don’t think there was any wrongdoing there.”

“Every team is looking at the best possible candidates, minority candidates, to make sure they’re in those head positions as the head coach, and coordinators, GMs. And so I think the NFL will continue to strive and make sure that everybody gets a fair chance, gets a fair look to get some of those head positions,” he said. “The NFL can definitely look at more options to make sure they’re doing everything possible to give everybody a fair chance at those positions.”
