DEVILS 3 - BLUE JACKETS 1

Ever since the Christmas/COVID-19 break, the New Jersey Devils got that winning feeling going on right now. The Devils took care of the Columbus Blue Jackets 3-1 last night at the Rock. New Jersey has now won four of its last five to climb to 14-16-5 on the season.

“Today was a total team effort," said Jesper Bratt, a sixth-round pick by the Devils in 2016. ”Since the break we've been playing good hockey."

Bratt scored the go-ahead goal for New Jersey early in the third period in a game that was knotted up at one.

Jack Hughes who was credited with an assist on the Bratt goal, would score a goal of his own late in the third period on a duel assist by Ryan Graves and Tomas Tatar to give the Devs' a 3-1 advantage. Tatar scored his eighth goal of the season when he netted the opening goal of this contest in the first period.

MacKenzie Blackwood was dominant in net, recording 31 saves for New Jersey.
