The latest instalment to Marvel’s cinematic universe was a grand slam in popularity as Spiderman: No Way Home reached #620 million domestically this week. Despite it only being the films third week in theaters.

With this kind of momentum, it was able to push past Star Wars The Last Jedi for the 9th place spot in domestic box office numbers and coming close to overtaking the first Avengers movie.

This is a crowning achievement for the series as this is the first Spiderman film to reach the top ten, though it is the only Marvel film of 2021 to reach the top ten. It’s entirely possible that this latest film will reach the middle rankings of the top ten in the near future. However, this certainly leaves fans wondering what else Marvel has up their selves for both Spiderman and the rest of the MCU as we enter into 2022.

Fans of course are looking forward towards the forth phase of the MCU and the upcoming Doctor Strange, and Thor films. As well as the Captain Marvel and Black Panther sequels. The real question is if these films will be able to shoot Marvel ahead and earn more spots both internationally as well as domestically?

One thing the team responsible for Spiderman: No Way Home should be proud of is walking away with the number one spot for 2021 films in Worldwide Box Office numbers. You have to wonder what awards will the film be nominated for if any? Let alone the ones they could possibly be taking home.

Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame continues to sit at 2nd place for worldwide box office just under the 2009 film Avatar, will we possibly see one of these phase 4 films take the title as Marvel’s most profited film? Sit back as we discuss the upcoming films more right here.
