New York Mets' Manager Buck Showalter was introduced to the media on Tuesday afternoon.
He was joined by his wife Angela, Mets GM Billy Eppler and Mets President Sandy Alderson on a zoom call with reporters.
Showalter becomes the 24th full time manager of the New York Mets. He takes over a team that features plenty of All Star talent from pitchers Jacob deGrom to Max Scherzer, and infielders Francisco Lindor and Pete Alonso.
Showalter is no stranger to New York, having started his managerial career in New York with the Yankees from 1992-1995. He managed the Diamondbacks from 1998-2000, the Texas Rangers from 2003-2006, and the Baltimore Orioles from 2010-2018.
