"We can all hoop," Nic Claxton told reporters after the Brooklyn Nets disposed of the Philadelphia 76ers 114-105 in Brooklyn last night. The comments come as the Nets continue to play stellar basketball despite the team dealing with a COVID-19 crisis.

Last nights game was the second straight where the Nets were shorthanded, missing seven players due to the illness. Those M.I.A. include James Harden and LaMarcus Alridge.

Even that wasn't enough to slow down Kevin Durant, who put Brooklyn on his shoulders, scoring 34 points and 11 boards on the night. Durant was a perfect 6-for-6 from the charity stripe, and 13-of-24 shooting.

Claxton and Blake Griffin both came off the bench to start Thursday, and both contributed 17 points a piece.

The Nets led by as many as 20 points, when David Duke Jr. hit a bucket to push the Brooklyn lead to 66-46 with 37.6 seconds to go in the second quarter. However Philly came all the way back, and tied the game twice inside the final three minute on a pair of Joel Embiid jumpers to even things up at 103.

Durant quickly answered the challenge, nailing a huge three pointer with 1:46 to go give Brooklyn a 106-103 lead.

Durant would later add a six-foot jumper with 35 seconds to go for the final score of the game for Brooklyn.
