KNICKS 116 – ROCKETS 103
A short-handed Knicks squad found a way to dominate the Houston Rockets 116-103, snapping a four game skid. The star of the show was easily Immanuel Quickley, who nailed down seven three-pointers in the victory, as the Knicks improved to 13-16.
“(Quickley) hit big shots,” Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau said. “We had a lot of guys step up. We’ve got to continue to work, defensively.”
“We needed it big,” Quickley said. “Though the tough times, I feel like we’ve stuck together pretty well. Hopefully, we can turn this thing around because it’s a long season. We just want to keep continuing to do the right thing.”
Quickley’s efforts came as the Knicks were missing four players due to COVID protocols. On top of that Derrick Rose left the game with a sore right ankle after 12 minutes and never returned to the floor.
