The New York Giants are at a crossroads. At 4-8, there is no postseason in the Giants future for the fifth straight year; and there are serious questions about quarterback Daniel Jones' future.

Earlier in the week there was a report that surfaced that Jones had suffered structural damage in his neck, and would be shut down for the season. Head Coach Joe Judge refuted that report as "completely inaccurate."

“We’re still optimistic in pushing forward to prepare him to be back on the field this year. When the doctors clear him for contact, and they say he’s good to go, we’ll have him ready to go. And we’ve prepared him throughout this week that if he got cleared for contact, he’d be ready to go then," Judge said.

Jones was seen on the field throwing bombs down the field during practice, but he still hasn't been cleared. Jones future is still a question mark though. After three seasons, the Giants still don't have a solid answer from Jones, himself, whether he can be trusted as a franchise quarterback moving forward. He has only 10 touchdown passes to seven interceptions this year. Jones has only one year left on his deal before an option has to be picked up. This is a similar spot the Jets found themselves in with Sam Darnold when they chose to trade him to the Carolina Panthers last spring.

On top of that Judge has come under fire for comments he made last week in Miami, claiming that he saw the Giants make a lot of "big plays" in a game they lost 20-9, where the offense only reached the Miami Dolphins 20-yard line once. New York settled for three field goals. Judge's future could hinge of one of two things: 1) a solid finish to the season where the Giants show some fight and win a couple games. And 2) who the next GM will be. David Gettleman, reportedly, is not expected back.

With five games left in the season, the Giants may not be fighting for the playoffs, but the future is certainly at stake.

Mike Cohen's Fox Sports New Jersey Pick Six

Last Week: 4-2

Season: 30 - 18

NY Giants (4-8) @ LA Chargers (7-5) 4:05 p.m. FOX: The Giants are rolling into this game with a lot of uncertainty at quarterback. Will it be Mike Glennon (concussion)? Or will it be newcomer Jake Fromm, who will attempt to lead Big Blue on Sunday in LA.? Won't make a difference. The Chargers are immensely talented, and better in all facets. It starts with quarterback Justin Herbert, who is a legit MVP candidate, with 27 touchdown passes, 3,547 yards and 67% completion percentage. Add the dynamic running of Austin Eckler, and the pass rushing ability of Joey Bosa. The Chargers are everything the Giants wish they were. PICK: CHARGERS 37, GIANTS 13.

New Orleans Saints (5-7) @ NY Jets (3-9) 1:00 p.m. CBS: The Saints have lost five straight. and have looked worse offensively with each passing week. Their troubles started when quarterback Jameis Winston was lost for the season with a knee injury, while Trevor Siemian and Taysom Hill have not looked good under center. Hill is expected to start against a Jets defense that couldn't stop Gardner Minshew last week. In addition the Saints will be without defensive end Cam Jordan, who is under COVID protocol. That is a big plus for the Jets. They need to keep Zach Wilson upright, and the young quarterback needs to show more progress from last week's encouraging effort against the Eagles. This is a game the Jets SHOULD win, because the opponent has been so bad of late. However, what the Saints do have going for them is the fact dynamic running back Alvin Kamara returns. And if he is anything close to 100% that is trouble for Gang Green's porous defense. PICK: SAINTS 24 - JETS 19.

Dallas Cowboys (8-4) @ Washington Football Team (6-6) 1:00 p.m. FOX: While the New England Patriots have been the hottest team in the NFL having won seven straight, the Washington Football is right there with them. Washington has won four straight including victories over the World Champion Buccaneers, and a last second win at Las Vegas. At 6-6, Washington has a great chance to get to the playoffs. They have five games left all in the NFC East, including two with the 'Boys. And who doesn't love these Ron Rivera postgame chats with his players?

While Washington has been hot, Dallas is trying to get back on track. After dropping two straight, they struggled to the finish line against New Orleans last week. Quarterback Dak Prescott says he doesn't blame his calf injury for the team's struggles, saying their best ball is in front of them. The fact that Washington pass rusher Chase Young is out for the year helps Dallas in this matchup. But there is just something about this Washington team; they got a lot of momentum going their way. PICK: WASHINGTON 27 - COWBOYS 21.

Las Vegas Raiders (6-6) @ Kansas City Chiefs (8-4) 1:00 p.m.: We are still waiting for the Chiefs to really get on a roll offensively. A few weeks ago Patrick Mahomes and company looked themselves against the Raiders on Sunday night football when they dropped a 41-burger on the Raiders. Since that time, Kansas City struggled to put up points at home against Dallas and Denver in consecutive weeks. They get the Raiders again this week to wrap up a three-game homestand. The Raiders are 6-6, but they have been struggling for a better part of the last month. Run with KC in this one. PICK: CHIEFS 31 - RAIDERS 21.

Buffalo Bills (7-5) @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers (9-3), 4:25 p.m. CBS: A year ago at this time the Buccaneers hosted the Kansas City Chiefs in a late regular season game that Tony Romo projected would be a preview of Super Bowl LV. He was right. Those same two teams met again two months later in the Super Bow. Will he offer a similar projection this time? The Bills are on thin ice right now. They were a no show at home, in the snow, against New England. They watched the Patriots gash them on the ground, and Josh Allen couldn't figure out the Patriots defense. And now they face their old tormentor from New England, quarterback Tom Brady with the Bucs. Brady is 32-3 all time against the Bills. Tampa Bay is in serious competition with Green Bay and Arizona for home field in the NFC. No way they let Buffalo wake up this week. PICK: BUCCANEERS 33 - BILLS 27.

LA Rams (8-4) @ Arizona Cardinals (10-2) 8:15 p.m. MNF ESPN. The Cardinals can clinch a playoff berth with a win against the Rams on Monday. As good as Arizona has been this year, they have gone somewhat under the radar. Kyler Murray has been great, when healthy, and Arizona's defense has been tremendous, having allowed 20 or more points in only three games all season. Yet, they don't get the Super Bowl talk that the Bucs and Packers seem to do. They can earn some R-E-S-P-E-C-T on Monday Night Football. The Rams need wins. They lost three in a row before smacking around Jacksonville last week. Is Matthew Stafford ready to get this Rams team on a roll? They have the talent. PICK: CARDINALS 26 - RAMS 24.
