Minecraft’s ‘Caves and Cliffs Part 2’ is Almost Here With Fans Overflowing with Anticipation
The iconic game Minecraft is just weeks away from receiving the second part of its biggest update. Properly titled Caves and Cliffs Part 2, this update will be the continuation to what players received last summer, as it changes the world generation of Minecraft to include new biomes and an expansive rework to underground mines and mountains.
Teaser images were shown during last month’s Minecraft Live 2021 in which Agnes Larsson and Henrik Kniberg, talked about the update and what players could expect to be seen when it officially releases as well what we could expect from the next update in 2022 which now has key game aspects like the new mob The Warden and its domain of the Deep Dark. Fans were disappointed to learn they would not be receiving the Warden and Deep Dark until 2022, but ultimately understood and supported the team’s decision.
However, fans are still excited for what the update will bring with new building height limits for both world spawn and player capabilities being set at 256 and 320 respectively. As well as the lowest level possible going from 0 to –64 a massive change for the underground networks of Minecraft as images show chilling underground caverns connected to abandoned mineshafts, having those who like to live and explore mines excited. However, let’s not forget about the second most important part to the update. That being the lush and expansive mountains with new coves and steep mountains being available for players to traverse. The mountains give Minecraft a fresh feeling as the mountain ranges go high above clouds and cover wide areas.
The fanbase has looked at the update and have deemed it as Minecraft 2.0 with some fans even comparing the changes to another iconic fantasy realm, that being the one of the dwarven mountains and caves as players get ready to conquer the mountains and begin forging a base either on or in the mountain itself.
Minecraft Caves and Cliffs Part 2 is set to release November 30th going by the official update 1.18 title, as Minecraft continues to be one of, if not the bestselling video game in the world. Selling well over 200 million copies.
It’s here! From ice-capped mountain tops to endlessly sprawling cave systems: Caves & Cliffs: Part II is now out on both Java and Bedrock!
