Rutgers Women’s Soccer and Field Hockey Host Big 10 Tournament Games Today
It’s going to be a wild atmosphere full of postseason excitement at Rutgers University today.
Both nationally ranked Women’s Soccer and Field Hockey will host Big 10 Tournament games, respectively this afternoon.
Fourth ranked women’s soccer will host Iowa in the semifinals of the Big 10 Tournament at 1:30 this afternoon from Yurcak Field in Piscataway.
Rutgers is 16-2-0, and is riding a 12-game winning streak. They are also 11-0 in Big 10 games this year, including the ladies 1-0 win over Wisconsin in the quarterfinals on Sunday.

Meanwhile, 5th seeded Iowa (12-5-2) is coming off a 1-0 win over Michigan State.
“Advancing to the semifinals a great accomplishment and it’s something that we definitely work towards since the beginning of the year. We definitely know what our goals are and to reach it is something great, but we definitely still want more,” said sophomore midfielder Sara Brocious told ScarletKnights.com.
Admission to the game is free. Parking is free after signing up. The game can be viewed on the BIG 10 Network.
As for field hockey, they are ranked third nationally, and are the number two seed in the Big 10 Tournament. The ladies will host rival Indiana in the first round of the Big 10 tournament today at 2 p.m., which will stream on BIG 10 Plus.
Field Hockey is 15-3 this season, tying the record for most wins since 1986, and has won three in a row.

Rutgers is led by goalkeeper Gianna Glatz, who holds career-bests in goals-against-average (0.93) and save percentage (.803). The team also boasts returning All-Americans in Katie Lamour and Milena Redlingshoefer, along with former all-conference selection Kerrie Burns.
Should Rutgers defeat Indiana, they will face the winner of the Penn State-Maryland matchup on Friday afternoon at 4:30. The Big 10 Championship Game is on Sunday at noon on the Big 10 Network.
