Rutgers Advances in Big 10 Tournament with 1-0 Win over Wisconsin
Rutgers’ domination of the Big 10 continued into the postseason, Sunday with a 1-0 victory over the Wisconsin Badgers in the quarterfinals of the tournament.
The Lady Scarlet Knights, who went 10-0 in Big 10 action during the regular season, and captured the program’s first ever Big 10 regular season title, will face Iowa in the Big 10 Semifinals on Thursday at Yurcak Field.
Rutgers was led in goal by senior Meagan McClelland, who recorded a season high, seven saves, including three consecutive saves in the 70th minute. The shutout was the 10th this year by Rutgers. McClelland owns six shutouts against Big 10 opponents this year.

Rutgers scored its loan goal in the 12th minute of the first half when Sara Brocious slapped a rebound by Wisconsin goalie Jordyn Bloomer, back into the right corner of the net for the goal. It was Brocious’ fourth goal of the season.
