Kemba Walker had his coming out party with the Knicks leading the way with 19 points on 7-of-15 shooting as the Knicks topped the Philadelphia 76ers 112-99 at the Garden.
Walker was one of five Knicks in double-figures, with Evan Fournier adding 18 points and Julius Randle dropping 16 points and 11 boards as New York snapped a 15-game losing streak to Philly.
"This was a good test for us and it doesn't stop, and we can't feel good about tonight," Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau said. "We have to go to Chicago (on Thursday) and play an undefeated team that's loaded that's playing real well."
Trailing 26-23 after the first quarter, New York exploded for 39 points in the second quarter. Immanuel Quickly hit three free-throws and a 25-foot three pointer that helped build an 11-point Knicks lead in the quarter.
Soon the three's started falling as Randle hit a 16-foot step-back jump shot, and Walker, a 25-foot three-pointer as New York blew it open at 52-38.
