A story released by nj.com late Tuesday pitted Governor Murphy's campaign against right-wing activist group, Project Veritas, over a video that purportedly shows a Murphy campaign advisor and an ally saying the governor is "set to impose vaccine mandates, but not until after the November 2 election," (NJ.com story here).
Reportedly the video shows a woman off camera asking Wendy Martinez, Murphy's senior advisor for Hispanic outreach, whether the governor will impose the mandates. She says he would, according to the report.
Matthew Urquijo, an ally of Murphy's, is reportedly in one of the clips saying that a mandate would be possible.
Project Veritas has been steeped in controversy in the past; often criticized of doctoring its videos.
On the flip side, Democrats are accusing Project Veritas of "harassing women in Murphy's campaign while confronting them about the video."
