The Calgary Flames are on fire ... ok, bad pun there, but still, they are red hot having dropped two of the local hockey teams in consecutive days, scoring five goals in each contest.

On Tuesday, the New Jersey Devils were the latest team that couldn't cool down Calgary, losing 5-3 at Prudential Center. Andrew Mangiapane had another multi-goal effort for the Flames, scoring two goals against New Jersey, giving him seven goals for the season. He had a two-goal game against the Rangers earlier in the week.

Calgary jumped out fast, scoring four goals in the first period. Milan Lucic scored the opening goal 6:35 into the first period. Three minutes later Mangiapane netted his first of the night on an unassisted cross-drive to the net to make it 2-0.

Mangiapane and Elias Lindholm would score a pair of goals in a matter of 46 seconds betweek shots to push the Calgary lead to 4-0.

The Devils didn't get their offense going until the middle of the second period when Pavel Zacha scored unassisted. Zacha and Dawson Mercer would add the final two goals of the night for Jersey late in the third period.

Nico Daws got the start in net for New Jersey and gave up three goals on seven shots before getting lifted for Scott Wedgewood.

The Devils are now 3-2 on the season. Calgary is 4-1-1.
