Jets Quarterback Zach Wilson Out 2-to-4 Weeks With PCL Sprain
24 hours after sustaining a horrific-looking knee injury in the Jets 54-13 loss to the New England Patriots, Zach Wilson will indeed miss time.
Two to four weeks in fact with what doctors are calling it a grade-two sprain of the posterior cruciate ligament in his right knee. The PCL, for those who don’t know is in the middle of the knee between the bones. Surgery is not required for a sprain.

The Jets will have to decide whether to put Wilson on Injured Reserve, which would mean he is required to miss three games.
The Jets (1-5) play host to the red-hot Cincinnati Bengals (5-2) on Halloween Sunday at 1 p.m.
It stands to reason that Mike White, who played admirably for Wilson on Sunday afternoon, leading the Jets to their only two scoring drives, will start against the Bengals. White was a former draft pick of the Dallas Cowboys in 2017. After getting released by the ‘Boys in 2018, White signed with the Jets as a practice squad player. Sunday’s game against New England was the first ever action in a professional game for White.
The 26-year old White from Western Kentucky University did hold his own, completing 20 of 32 passes (63 %) for 202 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions. The Jets are also expected to elevate veteran Josh Johnson from the practice squad to the active roster to back-up White.
Wilson suffered the injury when he was hit from behind by Patriots linebacker Matthew Judan on a pass that was incomplete because of defensive pass interference down field. Wilson said he felt a “pop” in the knee. Wilson was slow to get up, lying on his back for several minutes before medical staff helped him off the field.
