KNICKS 138 - CELTICS 134 - double OT
Last night the Garden came to life for the first time in seemingly forever as the New York Knicks and Boston Celtics put on a thrill-a-minute show that saw New York edge out their rivals 138-134 in double overtime.
On top of that, Knicks fans might have found a new "fan-favorite" in shooting guard Evan Fournier, who was absolutely brilliant at shooting the basketball in key situations last night.
Fournier sank three three-pointers in the first overtime that either tied or gave the Knicks the lead, and later connected on the game winning three-pointer with 0:56 seconds to go in the second overtime to send the Knicks to victory.
Overall, Fournier finished with 32 points on 13-of-25 shooting, including 6-of-13 from downtown. The former Celtic was incredible.
Not to be forgotten, Julius Randle had a huge night in his own right, connecting on 12 of 27 shots for 35 points, picking up right where he left off last season.
How incredible was last night's game? Many are calling it the greatest opening night in Knicks history! Yeah, that big.
