Bloomfield College. which is one of New Jersey's oldest schools might be forced to shutter its doors at the end of the school year next summer due to financial constraints.
Officials from the 4-year institute are asking for help from donors, or, potentially help from another local college in the form of a partnership.
According to nj.com "Enrollment has been falling over the last decade and the coronavirus pandemic has further strained campus finances, school officials said. The college, which enrolled 1,533 students last year, primarily serves low-income, minority and first-generation college students."
